Our Story

By Kayla Greco, Co-Founder of KARA Education

Born in Sydney, Australia, I started playing tennis at the age of 4. By the age of 8 I had been sponsored by Tecnifibre France, and at 10 moved to Spain, where I combined home schooling with training and travel, competing across Europe on the ITF circuit.

Tennis was my life — and it was taking me places I never imagined.

Upon finishing high school I was presented with an opportunity that would change everything — a full athletic scholarship to Eastern Florida College. I later transferred to Valdosta State University in Georgia, where I graduated in 2025 with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business & Minor in Entrepreneurship.

Those five years in the USA were the most formative of my life. Balancing academic and sporting commitments while being thousands of miles from home and family was challenging — but it shaped me into a responsible, motivated and forward-thinking young woman with a perspective on life I could never have gained any other way.

Living that journey firsthand gave me a unique perspective on what international student athletes and their families really need — honest guidance, personal support, and someone who truly understands the process.

That insight became the foundation for KARA Education. And so KARA Education was born — because every talented international student athlete deserves the right support to turn their sporting passion into an extraordinary opportunity.
